During your AIT as an Army Engineer, you will learn a wide variety of engineering skills that can include bridge building, structural maintenance and terrain depiction. Combat Engineer Operations Combat Engineer training is a vital aspect to Army operations. You will learn the engineering skills to support combat missions which can include: bridge building and destruction; minefield emplacement and reduction; and other tasks requiring specialized engineering skills and equipment. Construction Engineer Operations Construction Engineers build and maintain roads, airfields and other facilities that support combat operations.
